Founders Associate
Operations, Full time, Copenhagen, Denmark

About Apylon and the opportunity

Apylon is building the intelligent revenue management platform for European healthcare. Billions of euros flow between hospitals and insurers through fragmented, manual workflows — a maze of rules, conditions and requirements.

We believe this is a machine learning and automation problem disguised as financial operations.

Apylon is backed by experienced operators and top-tier investors in healthcare and fintech. Our team draws on experience from Zendesk, Pleo, Wawa Fertility, Sibill, and some of the largest multi-country hospital groups in Europe.

As a Founders Associate, you’ll work directly with the founding team on the highest-priority challenges facing the company. This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to all aspects of building a venture-backed startup — from strategy and operations to customer success and fundraising.

Delivering healthcare is hard. Getting paid for it shouldn’t be.

You’ll be responsible for

  • Working directly with founders on day-to-day operations, strategic initiatives and special projects.
  • Supporting customer onboarding and success — ensuring our healthcare clients get maximum value from Apylon.
  • Conducting market research and competitive analysis to inform product and go-to-market strategy.
  • Building and improving internal processes and operations as we scale.
  • Supporting fundraising efforts — preparing materials, coordinating with investors, and managing due diligence.
  • Wearing many hats — from data analysis to customer calls to operational firefighting.
  • Helping build the company culture and team as we grow.

Who you are

  • 1-3 years of experience in consulting, investment banking, venture capital, or a high-growth startup.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills — you can structure ambiguous problems and drive to solutions.
  • Strong communication skills — you can write clearly and present confidently.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
  • Self-starter who takes ownership and gets things done without constant direction.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid change — you thrive in fast-paced environments.
  • Genuinely curious about healthcare, fintech, and building companies.

Bonus points

  • Previous startup experience or entrepreneurial ventures.
  • Experience in healthcare or fintech.
  • Fluency in German, Danish, or Italian.
  • Technical background or comfort working closely with engineering teams.

What Apylon offers

  • The chance to solve one of Europe’s biggest healthcare inefficiencies.
  • Competitive salary + stock options (you’ll own part of what you build).
  • 25 days of annual leave + local public holidays.
  • Lunch on us
  • Regular off-sites and social events — we like building together, not just working together.
  • Unparalleled learning opportunity — direct exposure to all aspects of building a company.
  • A clear path to growth as the company scales.
  • This role may require international travel within the EU on a roughly monthly cadence.

Working at Apylon means embarking on a highly ambitious mission to rebuild the financial infrastructure of European healthcare. We’re already live with leading private hospitals, processing thousands of invoices, proving that complex payer rules can be turned into code - powering transparent, automated, and intelligent revenue operations.

How to apply. If you're excited by the challenge of building intelligent, high-impact systems at the core of European healthcare and enjoy shipping fast, we'd love to hear from you.
